Burnt by the Sun - Mark and Sonia

Russian couple - in life and at work. Mark and Sonia have been working together since 2009. After a series of family tragedies (death of Sonia's mother and beloved grandfather Marek), the couple decided to break all ties with modern society and live away from everyone in a self-built hut at the foot of the Caucasus mountains. Since 2014, photographers live and work in their own studio built on the banks of the river next to the house. Their life and work can be viewed with Instagram.

The "Burnt by the Sun" series was created in the years 2011-2017 in tribute to the deceased grandfather Marek.
